We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!

 

We Won't Pay!, We Won't Pay! by Dario Fo, adapted by Ron Jensen, is in need of two male actors to fill roles; one is age 30-45, married to Antonia and the other plays multiple roles-ages 35-75. Must be able to handle Italian dialect and be adept at physical comedy.

 

Auditions, consisting of cold readings from the script, will be held Monday, September 12, 6-8PM at  Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11 South Sixth Avenue. Rehearsals begin mid-December 2011. A Cactus Christmas

(Tucson, AZ) Beowulf Alley Theatre, at 11 South 6th Avenue, 85701, will hold auditions for its world premiere of A Cactus Christmas, directed by Pat Timm, on Saturday, August 27th from 2-5 p.m. with callbacks on Sunday, August 28th, 2-5 p.m. Auditions will be by cold reading of this original script. A Cactus Christmas, by John Vornholt, is a family-friendly, holiday romp in a ghost town in Wishbone, Arizona.

 

When a pair of desert rats, holed up in a ghost town encounter a city family, they conjure up a spirited plan to protect the gold that they’re sure is right under their noses.

 

Character descriptions:

Pete - Desert rat and treasure hunter, worn looking 50s

 

Alice - Pete's wife and fellow desert rat, not as worn looking 50s

 

Jeffrey - Dad, looks about 40

 

Mona - Mom, looks about 35

 

Felicia - Daughter, looks about 14

 

Royce - Son, looks about 11

 

Ghost – looks…well, you know…

 

Anticipated rehearsals, performance schedule and time commitment.

First meeting/read-thru possible sometime in the week of September 12, 2011. Rehearsals will begin approximately October 24, 2011, days and times to be determined once cast is selected. Tech Rehearsal/Cue-to-cue will be on the weekend of December 3rd, 2011 and run through the Preview performance on December 8th. Performance dates begin on Thursday, December 8 and run Wednesdays through Sundays, closing with a matinee on Saturday, December 24. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. and matinees are at 2:30 p.m.
